Case study of perforated louver production [Tottori City Hall Main Building]
Louvered perforated panels that excel in design and functionality, enhancing the facade.
I was involved in the production of the perforated folded plate louvers installed in a gentle arc on the facade of the Tottori City Hall main building, including proposals for the design of the holes. The common areas feature perforated folded plates, while the office spaces and meeting rooms use louvered plates without holes, allowing for adjustments in direct sunlight control and privacy levels according to their intended use. Additionally, in terms of design, the perforated folded plates are painted to evoke the colors of the sand dunes of Tottori, and feature a hole pattern with three different hole diameters arranged randomly, along with four types of bending processes, creating varying expressions depending on the viewing angle.
